Cancun Here We Come

Our bags are packed, grabbing the sunscreen, and heading to turquoise waters and white sandy beaches to celebrate our anniversary in style. From sunrise drinks overlooking the ocean to sunset walks with toes in the sand, this trip is all about love, laughter, and a little bit of adventure.

What Happen To San Antonio?

When it came time to plan our anniversary getaway, we had a choice: San Antonio or Cancun. It really came down to activities in a big city or relaxation by the beach.

San Antonio has charm, history, and some great Tex-Mex, but let’s be real… the Riverwalk just can’t compete with crystal-clear Caribbean water and I know you love the beach. Cancun promised us sun-drenched beaches, endless ocean views, and a chance to unplug with sand between our toes instead of city sidewalks under our feet.

So while we will eventually do Texas, this anniversary called for turquoise waves, romantic sunsets on the beach, and a little tropical adventure. Cancun won my heart — and honestly, my flip-flops too.

Opperation Fool Jess

So here’s the backstory… you are way too curious about where we were going for our anniversary trip.

So I came up with a plan. I recruited Makenna as my undercover agent. I said, “Make a fake TikTok and leak some false intel. Throw Jess off the trail.” And she did it — straight-faced, Oscar-worthy performance. She made you believe we were headed for tacos on the Riverwalk instead of the beach.

Meanwhile, I was quietly, plotting our escape to Cancun. And when I got the text from Jess that she “figured it out”…Mission accomplished.

Never underestimate a good decoy and a pre-teen with TikTok skills.

Panic!

So Jess almost had me trapped. She’s been on “vacation detective” duty, trying to sniff out where we’re going for our anniversary. The other day, she asked me to confirm our flight times. I gave her the real times… and she instantly went into FBI mode.

She says, “Wait a second. Those times don’t even exist for San Antonio flights.” BUSTED

I froze for a second — like a kid caught sneaking cookies out the jar. I had to backpedal quick, so I googled flights to Austin Texas (90 minutes away) and found some times very close to our real departure times I had already given her, took some screenshots and with a little help from ChatGPT made it look legit.

I think she bought it… she didn’t break me. Cancun is still safe, and the surprise is still on.
